Description
English: Members of the 101st Airborne Division Honor Guard stand at attention next to caskets containing the remains of a member of the 3rd Bn., 502nd Inf., 101st Airborne Div., during a memorial ceremony. On December 12, 1985, 248 soldiers of the 3rd Battalion were killed in plane crash at Gander Airport, Newfoundland. They were returning to the United States after participating in peacekeeping duty with the Multi-national Force and Observers in the Sinai Desert.
