Русский: Несмотря на гибель Хамана, его указ об истреблении иудеев всё еще действует. Тогда Артаксеркс передает свой перстень Мордехаю. Есфирь просит царя о том, чтобы он дал письма об отмене указа. Царь разрешает написать новый указ, но старый отменить уже не может - царские указы не отменяются.
Тогда царским указом иудеем дается повеление защищать себя. Это своеобразно нивелирует предыдущий приказ.
