| Description |
English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
Journalists visit the Power Plant Hemweg in Amsterdam as part of a press excursion organised by the Vereniging van Fabrieken op Elektrotechnisch Gebied (Association of Factories in the Electro Technical Field) and the Vereniging Nederlands Fabrikaat (Association Dutch Products). They spend the night in a hotel in Bergen aan Zee, where a demonstration is given of a transistor transmitter pouring a drink by using radio signals. The next day they take a look at the electrical facilities aboard the cruiser De Zeven Provinciën (The Seven Provinces). They also receive an explanation on the radar and a demonstration of the automatic firing of "light rockets" (a type of flare used to illuminate targets).

Ihkv een persexcursie die is georganiseerd door de Vereniging van Fabrieken op Elektrotechnisch Gebied en de Vereniging Nederlands Fabrikaat bezoeken journalisten de Centrale Hemweg te Amsterdam. Ze overnachten in een hotel in Bergen aan Zee, waar ze een demonstratie krijgen van een transistorzendertje waarmee langs radiografische weg een borreltje wordt ingeschonken. De volgende dag bekijken ze aan boord van de kruiser De Zeven Provinciën de elektrische voorzieningen. Verder krijgen ze er uitleg over de radar en een demonstratie van het automatisch afvuren van lichtraketten. |
