Cartoon by William Blomfield of Dr Thomas Fauset MacDonald on a rock in the sea playing the bagpipes surrounded by sharks

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Cartoon by William Blomfield of Dr Thomas Fauset MacDonald in Highland dress on a rock in the sea playing the bagpipes surrounded by sharks. The caption reads:

Dr. MacDonald and the Revolution.

"I am so sure of a social revolution," said Dr. Macdonald, the Australian [sic] Socialist, "that I don't bother about life insurance, or about banking any money to provide for my family for the future, because I am convinced that a great social revolution is coming."

Supposing the tide rises instead of the rock! What then?
