It's been a pleasure reviewing all five of the available scores from Bess Rudisill. She started composing from an early age, published her first scores by age 17, and went on to publish at least ten pieces. She was an accomplished pianist and organist from Missouri who later moved west to Los Angeles. This rag was published in St. Louis by S. Simon in 1904 and also appeared in the Nora Hulse CD "Cake Walks, Two Steps and Rags by Women Composers". Thanks to JohnJ1995 for the CD info.
