Biography: Very little is known about her. Her father was Dr. Siegmund Byk (1856-1936), a Dr. phil (Chemistry, Leipzig). Her mother was called Clara. Dr. Siegmund Byk worked with his brother, Dr. Heinrich Byk, who founded in 1873 the chemical company Byk Gulden that produced besides medical chemicals also fixation chemicals for photography (from 1881 on). Suse Byk had a brother, Hans. Professor Dr. Alfred Byk, the oldest son of Dr. Heinrich Byk, was her first cousin and not, as some books erroneously claim, her brother.

Suse Byk is known as a photographer from circa 1910

on. Her first own studio is mentioned 1911 (at the address Kurfürstendamm 14–15/III), in 1913 the studio moved to Kurfürstendamm 230. Contrary to some sources, there is no connection whatsoever to Ernst Sandau; Suse Byk never took over a studio from him. After 1928, she became the second wife of Hellmuth Falkenfeld (a Dr. phil). In 1938, Byk had to sell her studio to a very low price to her former student Liselotte Strelow and to emigrate due to the Nazi regime in Germany. Between June and October 1938, the couple emigrated via London to New York. A relative, Paul M Byk, a New York art dealer, helped her to establish a business on Fifth Avenue, but little is known about the last years of her life.

TemplateData

TemplateData is a way to store information about template parameters (the description of those and of the whole template) for both humans and machines. It is used by VisualEditor and possibly other tools like Upload Wizard.

Existing template documentation
At Wikimedia Commons, it is recommended to use {{TemplateBox}} with either ‎useTemplateData=1 or ‎useTemplateData=only on the ‎/doc subpage and transcluding it with {{Documentation}} into the template. ‎<nowiki>-tags can be wrapped around the arguments, if required, to avoid templates being expanded.

Newly created template documentation and imports
Another option, especially for imported templates, or for users with JSON experience, is placing raw ‎<templatedata>-tags into the Wikitext of the template, as described in various Wikipediae.

Discussion
There is an ongoing discussion about that matter. Feel invited to comment if you are experienced in either way, your time permits and if you like to share your opinion or to make a suggestion.
