The results are flawed[edit]

Hoi, I have posted on the mailing list, I have chatted with Muya about the results and now I have blogged about the results. The results are flawed because they do not attribute the restoration work done. Restorations provide some of the most valuable illustrations to our projects. They provide illustrations that are contempoary to historic events.

A digital photo of a restored building does not illustrate a war that went on, a drawing, a painting or an analog photo taken at the time does. By not honouring the people who provide us with quality restorations we kill the goose that lays the golden eggs.

As I wrote in my blog, the results are published in a way that is overly complicated. I do not think it is reasonable to expect people to edit this any more. Thanks, GerardM (talk) 06:31, 4 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

PS Johannes Vermeer is a painter, not an author !
