  •  Comment I believe this photgraph has a very high value as this building and what it stood for, has been center for discussion (and riots) in Copenhagen for many years. It was sold by its owner (Copenhagen municpality) causing great anger. On March 1st 2007 the building was evicted by the police and contractors demolished the building within a few days. It has now become a "martyr" symbol for its many users and supporters. Though the image could be shot a bit straighter and without the green car I believe this should be approved. It is impossible to create a new photo. AFAIK no free alternative exists. -- User:EPO 21:31, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Comment As my eventual vote could be considered a national vote, I will abstain from voting. However, I agree it is valued image. This particular house has been the subject of very intense press coverage in Denmark. The fact that the house in described in 11 different wikipedias indicate that its importance is not just of a regional character and thus of general value to Wikimedia projects. I also agree it is the best illustration of Ungdomshuset currently available on Commons and that it illustrates the subject well in review size. For instance "Ungdomshuset" is clearly visible. The image page is good and it is geocoded. For sure it could have been better without the car, but this is the best we have. -- Slaunger 21:45, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Neutral My neutral vote is more of a place holder, I think. I have a great love of before and after photographs, or photographs of the same site that were taken over a large span of years. This vote is neutral because it seems to me that a set of before, during and after demolition would illustrate the improve the value. -- carol 04:56, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
 Comment I agree with carol that it is valuable and certainly very interesting to also consider the before-after process as an image set. In that case though I do think the after image should be not a photo of the rubble at some other location afterwards but rather the same specific location as the before image, with the camera positioned at the very same location showing what it looks like now. Since I understand you live nearby, EPO, I suggest you take such a photo and make a test VISC of these images with the scope "The demolition of Ungdomshuset" (a process).
Having said that I still think it is relevant to consider the value of this single image as the most valued of the (hitorical) "Ungdomshuset" building. Assuming both nominations succeed, the result would be that the "before" image becomes both VI of "Ungdomshuset" and part of a VIS of "The demolition of ungdomshuset", which is OK I think. I suggest that an image can be valued within several different scopes and both as an individual image and as part of a set. -- Slaunger 10:16, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I saw all of the images for this in the English wikipedia article Image:Ungdomshuset-destroyed.jpg already exists here and that gave me the idea for it. -- carol 10:21, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
 Comment I agree with Michael concerning the principal discussion. A single image can be VI irrespective of the value of an image set the image could be associated with. -- Slaunger 21:43, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Result: 1 support, 1 oppose => undecided
