Maybe other users will think different and it would end up promoted? We'll have to wait and see. Comment This is the first picture that I have submitted to this contest and I tried to give it a scope according to the given recommendations (which I understood so as to give scopes that are not too narrow). If the scope is too wide, how about: "A Japanese Dinner in Germany" or "A Homemade Japanese Dinner with Sashimi and some Sidedishes"? --Oriba (talk) 03:52, 27 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Comment I think that Japanese meal can be a valuable scope, however I don't know enough about Japanese food and custom to judge if this image is OK. You could also try to restrict the scope to one dish (Sashimi) while cropping the image. Yann (talk) 08:50, 27 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Comment Another question: Rastaman asked why I think my picture best illustrates the scope given. What does "best" mean? Is selecting a valuable picture a kind of Highlander thing? There can only be one? I believe that my picture shows a good example of Japanese cuisine apart from the stylized stuff you find in hotel brochures - something down to earth and still attractive.
