Asian text prevents upload from Flickr?

I tried to upload this free image[1] from Flickr through the upload wizard, but it fails, and am I right in thinking it's because of the Asian script in the title (or its length)? How can I make it work? FunkMonk (talk) 23:53, 14 December 2020 (UTC)

@FunkMonk: It's the length: "Filenames may not be longer than 240 bytes."   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 04:25, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
Ok. But what can I do about it? Seems a shame there are free images that can't be sued for such a trivial reason? There was an old Flickr upload thingy where one could just change the filename before uploading... FunkMonk (talk) 18:23, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
@FunkMonk: Commons:Flickr2Commons will let you rename files. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 20:23, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
Ah, thanks, that was probably the one I remembered, but the interface is much different. FunkMonk (talk) 21:38, 15 December 2020 (UTC)

Creator

If I put the Creator page template into the Author (artist) field, it would be nice if that would then automatically populate (or suggest) the wikitext for the (best and most applicable) license to use. Going on from that it would be nice if it were to suggest appropriate categories to use against the file? Broichmore (talk) 20:22, 10 November 2020 (UTC)

I just read the top of this page, this page no longer supported! Broichmore (talk) 12:36, 16 December 2020 (UTC)

EXIF date not being picked up

It appears that date and time is not being picked up automatically from jpg EXIF during upload. Shyamal L. (talk) 11:55, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
