What
Tribal Culture Photography Competition is a call for a photography competition with the theme of 'Indian Tribal Culture'. Anyone can participate in this photography competition. Also this is a great opportunity for the amateurs to show their technical and creative skills at such a popular platform. This is also a gateway to explore diverse cultures of India.
Theme
- Indian Tribal Culture
Culture can be defined as the way of life of a society that builds up over a long period of time. Arts, beliefs, religion, rituals and institutions of a population that are passed down from generation to generation are the part of it. Tribes in this context are the indigenous tribes. There are over 700 type of tribes in India and each tribe has it's own language, beliefs and customs. Know more about the tribes of India here. The theme has been divided in three different categories and they are as follows-
- Tribal Festival and Rituals
- Tribal Costume and Jewelleries
- Tribal food.
While submitting the entries, participants need to submit following details in 6-10 sentences along with the photographs-
- Name of the tribe
- Geographical location of the photograph taken
- Subject of the photograph.
When
The Photography competition will run from 00:01 28 April to 23:59 28 May 2024 (UTC+05:30).
How
A month time duration will be given to the participants to do the photography or one can submit an old photograph too. For the promotion of the event different posters will be created and circulated through social media to pull maximum participation. Once the deadline comes a panel of 3 member judges will scrutinize all photographs and select the winners. The result will be declared on our main contest page.
Why
There are so many things in Indian tribals life unexplored may be because they do not want others interference in their day to day life. So It is expected that small events like cultural themed photography competition would bring out something new to to be seen.
Prizes
The prizes for Tribal Culture Photography Competition are as follows:
- 1st prize: Rs. 4000/-
- 2nd prize: Rs. 3000/-
- 3rd prize: Rs. 2000/-
- 4th prize: Rs. 1000/-
- 5th prize: Rs. 1000/-
- Digital Certificates for all participants, organizers and jury members.

What we won't accept
We won't accept media that are:
- Out of Commons Project scope.
- Which lack EXIF information.
- that are excessive processed and digitally altered.
- Pornographic and explicit images.
- Artwork due to copyright issues, etc.
