Bulk Nominations[edit]

This is a proof of concept to handle large, bulk nominations to Commons:Quality images candidates. The intent is to allow the images to be evaluated without a deadline to provide more volunteer flexibility. The page is very large, so another design is probably needed (subpages?). It is a work in progress.

Details of note:

  1. Only the author is listed and only the author can bulk nominate his own work. The author must ensure that it meets the guidelines, just like any normal nomination. This is not a place to bulk nominate someone's entire work.
  2. There are two nomination methods used on this page. One is a template method similar to the one used on QIC. The other method is a table-based method.
    • Works require a minimum of two support votes before they can be moved to QIC.
    • Works that receive unanimous  Support ( Comment are ok) can be moved to QIC exempt from the 5 per day rule.
    • Those images with  Oppose or  Neutral votes can only move to QIC according to the 5 per day rule.
    • There are up to four or five slots for votes and comments. If discussion is needed, it can happen on QIC. The goal is simplicity and speed of evaluation, so just oppose any "work needed" images and add comments to that purpose.
  3. Evaluation is untimed. There is no rush to process these, but we do want to do it eventually.

This template is intended to be easy to modify, if not easy to create. Signatures work with this. The template shown here is programmed as follows. I couldn't get it to work using the <gallery> tag. Maybe someone with more web programming skill could take a shot at it if the format is approved.

{|style="margin: 0 auto; float: left"
 | {{/Nomination3
     | file=Triumph Tulip Tulipa 'Prinses Irene' 2000px.JPG
     | author=Ram-Man
     | vote1={{s}} This is the best picture EVER 1. [[User:Ram-Man]]
     | vote2={{o}} [[User:Some User]]
     | vote3=
     | vote4=
   }}
 |}

The following are an example to show how this would look with real quality image candidates:

A user could add their own nominations by linking to them. Another experienced user could import them to this page, or create a subpage to hold them (since this page would probably be too big).

Nominations by User:Poco a poco[edit]

There were so many images that they could not all be saved on one page. I put "A" on a subpage. This would help limit edit conflicts, but does mean you have to edit by section.
