Consensual review[edit]

File:Demolition_of_Immerather_Dom,_St._Lambertus_2.jpg[edit]

  • Nomination Demolition of Immerather Dom, Germany --Arne Müseler 17:50, 6 January 2021 (UTC)
  • Promotion
  • It's a great picture, but there looks to be a tilt visible mainly on the right. --Rhododendrites 04:35, 8 January 2021 (UTC)
  •  Not done --A.Savin 00:13, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
  •  Support Harrowing scene, but a very good picture. Pease discuss. -- Spurzem 22:20, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
  •  Support A little noisy, but overall a good and memorable photo, and it's not like he can go back there and retake it. -- Ikan Kekek 06:25, 18 January 2021 (UTC)
  •  Oppose Tilt correction (see the horizon) is an easy fix. --C messier 18:14, 18 January 2021 (UTC)
    • This tilt is the result of choosing the wrong method (this may already have happend while shooting the picture): the vertical distortion of the off-center steeple was rigthened by tilting the picture instead of correcting the vertical distortion. --PtrQs 16:43, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
      • Still, it is easy to fix in a programm like GIMP. (Can a DJI drone be rolled?) --C messier 19:34, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
  •  Support Sky is a bit noisy, but OK for QI. --Palauenc05 15:28, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
  •  Support --Commonists 21:34, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
  •  Oppose Very interesting photo, I am fine with some noise, but why not just correcting the tilt/perspective? PtrQs has explainted what to do, and it can be done easily with free software like Gimp, RawTherapee, etc. Or drop me a note, I can help with fixing it. --Aristeas 17:02, 21 January 2021 (UTC)
  •  Oppose Interesting picture, but as said before, vertical distortion and tilt should be fixed. --PtrQs 00:27, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
Comment I can not see what perspective correcting should be necessary. -- Spurzem 10:31, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
Question @Spurzem what do you see, if you look at the horizon - is it horizontal? What do you see, if you look at the towers of the windmills in the background - are they parallel? --PtrQs (talk) 13:24, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
Hallo PtrQs, the horizon is negligible. If I tilt the picture, the towers will hang crooked. I am just amazed that unsuccessful photos are often judged to be very good and excellent photos are rejected. Regards -- Spurzem 16:25, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
Hallo @Spurzem, titling the picture was only the first step. After that you will have to correct the vertical distortion and everything should be fine. Btw: it regularly happens that I'm not happy with some reviews, but that's why we have consensual review. - And declaring it a democratic process sometimes helps me untroubling my nerves .., especially when some special people are involved (I think they call it resilience). --PtrQs 10:33, 25 January 2021 (UTC)
  •  Comment Please have a look at the reworked version. --Smial 14:56, 25 January 2021 (UTC)
