About
Picture of the Year 2015 is the tenth annual Wikimedia Commons image competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons.
Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons (FP) during the year 2015, to produce a single Picture of the Year.
Voting is simple
There are two rounds of the Picture of the Year contest.
In the first round, you may vote for as many images as you like. All of the images are categorized by subject and organized in topical galleries.
In the second round, you may vote for up to 3 finalists you like. Each of these 3 votes counts equal and one candidate must be only voted once. Note: if someone casts more than three votes, only the 3 most recent votes will be counted.
To vote, you must be an established Wikimedia user with more than 75 edits before January 1, 2016 (check eligibility).

Round 2 begins on 15 May 2016 and ends on 28 May 2016, 23:59:59 [UTC]
