The following is data used by the Commons API, an (experimental) API for Commons files making reuse easier for third parties. Don't change anything here unless you know vaguely what you're doing! Contact for this page and the Commons API is Magnus Manske.
Ignore categories[edit]
In this section, list all categories which should not appear on the API category list for a file, because they may be confusing, misleading, or useless to a third-party user.

License data[edit]
- This section contains data about individual license categories.
- Each level 3 heading ("===") has to be the name of a category (make sure upper/lowercase are correct!).
- Key/values pairs are annotated as ";:" lists. Everything else will be ignored.
- Instead of duplication information for similar categories, you can base a category on one defined before using the "based_on" key and the category name as value. Example: "PD" and "Public domain". "based_on" has to be the first key in the list, others can follow (see "Author died more than 70 years ago public domain images").
