I think we need to merge and redirect this with Category:Ovis aries. Most other mammalian articles go with the scientific name, and we can just as easily place a note reminding people that Ovis aries means domestic sheep on that page. Technically sheep applies to many species in the genus Ovis (or even outside the genus), such as Bighorn sheep, etc. I think the idea of having two separate categories for a single animal is a big bother. I don't think so! It's necessary, that everybody can find any category under a normal name and you can write the scientific name between parenthesis beside this normal name! dontworry 07:55, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It's necessary that the entire group of sheep photos is chopped randomly in to two different groups for no good reason? People are not finding valuable photos because of this bifuraction. VanTucky 01:23, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
They should be under the popular name like: "category:sheep (ovis aries)". So, nobody has a problem to find it. dontworry 04:30, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That seems fine to me. If we redirected both category:sheep and category:ovis aries to that cat, would it work? VanTucky 22:48, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
