Category needs deleting[edit]

No-one is ever going to look up "preparation for the entombment os Christ".

The two appropriate categories for all the works (there was not many) was either in "Lamentation of Christ" of "Entombment of Christ" . These two subjects are part of Christian tradition and the titles of many artworks. All the works have been placed in one or both of these categories.

this phrase, also as yours "If it isn't part of the religious tradition, or artistic tradition NO-ONE will search for it' - it is only your own opinion. Categories at commons isn't the article, which are named by the rules of encyclopedia. But group of keywords usefull for searching. This one category is for images which aren't traditional in iconography - not classical Lamentation or Entombment, but rare images of preparation of the body - with the myrrh myrrh, or when it is carried, and coffin isn't shown.
