Category talk:People of the history of Germany

Ich bin mir nicht sicher ob diese Kategorie richtig ist? Das kann in eine Megakategorie enden, die im Grunde weninger Mehrwert hat als beispielsweise category:Men of Germany. Sicherlich kann sie also "Orientierungskategorie" hilfreich sein damit Leute die richtigen Unterkategorien schneller (oder ueberhaupt) finden. Dann muesste dafuer aber auch ein entsprechender Verweis gemacht werden... ^^^^ Foundert

I don`t see much sense in changing the category name. It is usual in Wikipedia to name categories ".... by ...." Nobody would get the idea to look for something like "people of the history of Germany", and begin typing that into the search field. According to common sense, one would, anyway, not put everybody from Germany into a history category. The sense of the word history is widely limited to military and law. Somebody who looks for Caspar David Friedrich, for example, would rather look for painters from Germany, and so on.--Hans Dunkelberg (talk) 16:10, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
