@Naturiss: Thanks for helping. When you make a wide crop and/or only remove Greg, please overwrite the original. That'll allow for revision deletion while preserving the license review. Cropping to a new file and deleting the old results in a loss of the license review and the source for the new file would become red, which will trigger someone to nominate the crop for deletion. I made {{Extracted from deleted}} for that purpose, but I'd rather avoid it. - Alexis Jazz ^{ping plz} 14:55, 16 July 2019 (UTC)

@Alexis Jazz and Naturiss: I have only just begun to go through these. Yes, I have deleted some things but so far I've only deleted full versions of images that already have a cropped image saved as a separate file, replacing {{Extracted from}} with {{Extracted from deleted}} along the way. Overwriting would indeed be preferable as it would save the original information and avoid the "extracted from deleted" issue (and rev'del is cleaner anyways) but either way is fine with me. Should I remove Category:Pending removals to be checked from the original or keep it after I crop a photo? Some users have removed this category after cropping, while others haven't. E.g. I cropped File:Emily Deschanel (31638941363).jpg (resulting in File:Emily Deschanel (31638941363) (cropped).jpg). Should I now remove the aforementioned category from the original? --Hmxhmx 18:25, 18 July 2019 (UTC)

Thought I would mention that it would be nice if they were recategorized but it is not totally necessary. I'm working off of all lists so if they remain in this category I'll get to them eventually. --Majora (talk) 01:39, 19 July 2019 (UTC)

Category:Pending removals to be checked

The contributor who created this category has retired. They left a hatnote, telling the curious to contact them.

He or she says these images require review. But it doesn't say who should review them, or how those reviews should be conducted.

Why are the images here? Unstated. But some of the images look like they were once of a famous, notable person, and a fan, that have been cropped, to remove the non-notable fan. Examples: File:Abbie Cornish (37670707932).jpg, File:Alicia Witt (26780367076).jpg.

Checking the revision history of some of the images seems to indicate the category creator was not responding to requests from those non-notable fans. He or she seems to object to photos that include both notable people and their non-notable fans.

Why are the other images in here? Who knows.
