Proposed move[edit]

I am the person who moved the category here. Categories under Category:National parks by country should use lower case "national parks" because the subcategories there are for parks, not organizations. We may need a separate category for the Canadian organization, in the way there are separate categories Category:National Park Service and Category:National parks of the United States for the organization and parks, respectively, of the United States. In the case of Canada, it is easy to miss the distinction between the organization and the actual parks because the name of the organization is the same as the name of the subcategories of Category:National parks by country (except for the upper/lower case difference).

The category for the US parks is a subcategory (two levels down) of the category for the US organization. Categories for Canada could be set up in a similar way. I see only one thing in Category:National parks of Canada that I think would go directly in the organization's category: the image File:Canada Nationals Parks Pass on 1951 Cadillac Coupe de Ville 62-37D (2547258704).jpg. The other entries are all for parks rather than the organization. --Auntof6 (talk) 04:48, 10 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps two categories would work. 117Avenue (talk) 03:35, 12 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

There should exist a category of national parks of Canada undoubtedly. The name of the managing organization should be perceived as secondary. If needed, the organization itself can have its own subcategory (or parent category). --ŠJů (talk) 20:00, 12 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
