- I have never seen them referred to in English as Magdalen Islands, also this category is a merger of the islands of Québec, and the regional county municipalty-equivalent (territoire équivalent) of "Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine" that covers the same territory. - I think I have found a happy-medium, by splitting the articles on the islands (Magdalen Islands) with the municipalities (Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine (TE) and Grosse-Île, Quebec), since the latter held a referendum and de-amalgamated from Les Îles.
