Th temple has been categorized as being an "Ancient Roman Temple". However, a notice on the site, written by a professor of the university that did much of the excavating, states "The style and quality of the Temple’s elaborate floral friezes and acanthus-laden limestone capitals suggest that the sanctuary was constructed by the end of the first century BC by the Nabateans, who combined their native traditions with the classical spirit." The English Wikipedia puts it in the first halofd of the first century AD, so some tens of years later. Both however are dates before 109, when the Kingdom was conquered. So calling it an "Ancient Roman Temple" must have been an error. The notion was introduced by a user who in my mind caused a lot of wrong attributions, and has been blocked from editing in 2016. For the reasons just given I delete the categorisation as "Ancient Roman Temple". If someone knows diffgerently, please let me know. Dosseman (talk) 11:00, 8 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
