Are woods and woodlands forests?[edit]

According to the "vernacular names" list, this category encompasses "Forests, woods, woodlands". I disagree that woods/woodlands are the same as forests, and indeed there is a separate category:Woodlands for the former. I propose removing the words "woods, woodlands", if no one objects. @ITookSomePhotos: - actually, it shouldn't use the {{VN}} header at all (see the Template documentation at {{VN}}); it is only for use on taxon pages. It should use the {{Translation table}} header :-) Otherwise; yes to your point about removing "woods, woodlands". - MPF (talk) 23:10, 10 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I've removed "woods, woodlands". Someone else will have to change "VN" to "Translation table" as I don't know what I'm doing with that. Also, there is an error message on the category page, at the bottom of the "VN" output, reading:
Error in Wikidata: wikidata item 'forest' (Q4421) has no property 'instance of' (P31)
(This error existed before I made my change.) Again, I'm afraid that someone who understands this stuff will have to sort that out. ITookSomePhotos (talk) 17:43, 11 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
