Strange name[edit]
What shall "Featured pictures of black and white photographs" mean? Photographs of photographs? Or maybe "Featured black and white pictures" is more appropriate name? --A.Savin 00:51, 11 December 2020 (UTC)

- What kind of comment do you need? If something is wrong, it should be fixed. I'd seen no problem at the time of creation. The QI category exists for a long time - without any comment. And hundreds, not thousands - 755 + 185 photographs. Renaming of both categories and recategorization should be done in less than one minute. --XRay đŹ 14:53, 12 December 2020 (UTC)

The name again[edit]
I have taken the liberty to rename this category again, from âFeatured black and white picturesâ to âFeatured black and white photographsâ. This category is for photographs only, but âblack and white picturesâ would encompass also black-and-white woodcuts, engravings, drawings etc. ⌠Therefore I felt it was necessary to change the name again in order to avoid confusion, misunderstandings and mis-categorization. Of course this has the disadvantage to break the synchronization with Category:Quality black and white images. But itâs the latter category which is named oddly, because its super-category is named correctly Category:Black and white photographs. So if the naming difference causes any headaches we shoud rename Category:Quality black and white images, too. Best, --Aristeas (talk) 09:51, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
