Re naming the article[edit]

Definitely No

The Cathedrals of England are known to all those who write about them, visit them, etc etc etc as The Cathedrals of England. They are known by that collective name world wide. Why do anything so stupid as to change the accepted name to something else?

Moreover, the Cathedrals of other countries are generally known the same way.

So how about we change to Notre Dame dans Paris? Sant Pietro nel Roma? Santiago en Campostella?

The person/people who list cathedrals under in (placename) are obviously simply ignorant of an accepted convention. If there are two Cathedrals at a given place, eg Catholic and Protestant, there are other ways to distinguish them.

One also writes Castles of Wales, Trees of the Border Ranges, Palaces of St Petersburg, Craft of the inland waterways, Insects of the Laurentian Shield.

If we change the one convention, we are, I suppose, obliged to change all the rest. Don't do this stupid thing!
