Cascade Range vs. Cascade Mountains categories[edit]

Category:Cascade Mountains currently as a lot of US items in it which should be in this category instead. In Wikipedia "Cascade Mountains", which is the official name of the part of the Cascades in British Columbia, is used for Canadian-side peaks; only one of these (Mount Cheam) is currently in the Commons, or in one of these categories anyway; there might be others in the Commons that don't have a range category on them. I've redlinked Category:Canadian Cascades but in Wikipedia discussions it was decided to use the proper name "Cascade Mountains".......only some belong in Category:North Cascades, namely those in Category:Skagit Range which bridges the border; the peaks up the east side of the Fraser Canyon to Lytton are not included in the "North Cascades" usage, though farther north; it's debatable whether the Hozameen Range (Manning Park, in part) is in the North Cascades, though US peaks on that side of the range are the North Cascades; After I find some Commons pics to add to "Cascade Mountains" I'm gonna move all the items currently in that category over to "Cascade Range".Skookum1 (talk) 05:34, 14 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ooops, my bad, it's "Canadian Cascades" in Wikipedia; I'll use that category, though "Cascade Mountains" in that case should be merged/deprecated into this one.Skookum1 (talk) 05:39, 14 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
All that were in that were moved either to North Cascades or Cascade Range; I don't know how to create a category redirect here....don't really know how in Wikipedia either.Skookum1 (talk) 07:33, 14 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
