Naming[edit]

Wonder why it isn't "Red, white, and blue" (which is the more usual ordering in English)... AnonMoos (talk) 21:50, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I skipped the "and" on purpose (that's easier), but if you want we could add the word. Greetings, --Mattes (talk) 22:53, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No, it's just the order of the colors -- they're much more often listed in the order red, white, blue than as blue, red, white. AnonMoos (talk) 00:15, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
OK you're stating "and" as well as the alphabetic order[1]... About the order: I haven't heard about it before. Why is the English language term not in alphabetical order?!^^ It's fine with me if you want a change, take the appropriate action then - it's up to you. Thanks and good N8, --Mattes (talk) 01:12, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Red, white, and blue" is a fixed idiomatic phrase in the English language. There's nothing necessarily "wrong" with the current category name; however, it seems a little odd that the usual ordering is not used in this case... AnonMoos (talk) 02:32, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
