Statues of Heroes by János Pásztor (1927 world war memorial) in Árpád Garden. On the 3-meter-high limestone pedestal stands a five-figure, two-metre-high bronze statue group. It includes a moustache, elderly man, a soldier holding a rifle in his hand, they supports the dying wounded men, next to them is a grieving widow looking out into the sky, with the orphaned child on her lap. At the foot of the pedestal, on the coat of arms, is the Hungarian Holy Crown, a couple flags, a handgun and a assault helmet placed on the drapery. Inscription on the pedestal: "For the country 1914-1918" Number of local victims of the first world-war: 1156 - at Kossuth Lajos Street and Könd Street corner, Orosháza, Békés County, Hungary.
