English: The Witch Fire, also called the Witch Creek Fire, was a fire started by downed overhead power lines in the Witch Creek District of San Diego County on 21 October 2007. It was one of the largest wildfires in California history.
  • It burned through parts of eastern San Diego County, California, as one of many October 2007 California wildfires.
  • It merged with the McCoy and the Poomacha Fires
  • It continued to burn for 16 days, but was contained by 6 November 2007. The Poomacha portion of the fire complex continued to burn until full containment on 13 November 2007.
