- English: The model who posed for the images whose title is "Peppino" and "Ahmed" is a boy who only appears in the very first (below catalogue number 400) of Gloeden's images.
- He was likely born around the late 1870s. A picture featuring him, taken in the late 1880s, was published in "The studio" in 1893.
- Although according with the "orientalist" fashion of the time he was posed in moorish garbs, he was from Taormina.
- The name of a Peppino Carafasso was preserved among those of Gloeden's models, but to date no evidence allowed to identify this model with him.
