English: The canary vernacular buildings which have been preserved include houses and other utilitarian constructions: storage rooms, winecellars, estables, etc. These are usually constructed of stone held by mud, sometimes covered by a lime plaster, with wooden structures and roofs usually covered by round ceramic tiles. Other coverings used are flat roofs, with mud or lime plaster, and roofs covered with "French" ceramic tile, wood or rye straw.
