English: The original wood building was constructed in 1513 under King Chao Visounarath. Burnt down by the Black Flag Army in 1887, it was reconstructed in bricks between 1896 and 1898. A collection of ancient Buddha images was stored here by Prince Phetsarat after the sack by the Black Flags.
