English: This valley on Rhodes is a Natura 2000 protected area, Rodos: Profitis Ilias - Epta Piges – Petaloudes - Remata, located on Mount Profitas Ilias ("Prophet Elijah," from its remoteness). In it are an unusual number of endemic plant and animal species, many specific to the valley, and some endangered. Among them are butterflies (petaloudes), especially Panaxia, which swarm in the moist and green valley for reproduction. (https://valleyofbutterflies.com/)
