Deutsch: Die Biennale up-and-coming Int. Film Festival Hannover startete 1982 als „Erstes bundesweites Schülerfilmfestival“ und ist seit 1991 ein internationaler Wettbewerb, dem sich junge Filmemacher bis 27 Jahren stellen. Mit der Verleihung des Deutschen Nachwuchsfilmpreises, der International Young Film Makers Awards und des Bundes-Schülerfilm-Preises ging das 11. Internationale Film Festival Hannover am 27.11.2011 zu Ende. Das nächste Festival unter der Schirmherrschaft des deutschen Bundespräsidenten ist für November 2013 vorgesehen.
