English: According to https://www.navsource.org/archives/04/badger/badger.htm, originally Yumuri, acquired by the U.S. Navy 1898-04-19, fitted as auxiliary cruiser Badger, transferred to War Department 1900, refitted as transport Lawton, transferred back to the Navy 1902-11-12, decommissioned 1906-11-17, sold to Pacific Mail Steam Ship Co. and renamed Rose City 1907, owned by various other West Coast companies 1909-1929, cut down to barge 1930.
