The Tsukiji Hotel Tsukiji hoteru kan 築地ホテル館 was the first Western style hotel in Edo (soon to be renamed Tokyo). Construction started in 1867 and it opened in 1868. It closed in 1871 and was destroyed by the Great Ginza Fire of 1872 銀座大火.
