English: The Treasury of Byzantium has been placed at position IV based on implications expressed by Pausanias. After Epidamnus he says the Treasury of Sybaris was next to the Treasury of Byzantium. Excluding the second Epidamnus as an error, and following Pausanias' sequence from treasury 1 to treasury 10, one ought to find either Byzantium or Sybaris in IV. But, the Treasury of Cyrene is next to Sybaris, which must be V, leaving Byzantium for IV. Unlike the others, it has complete, 2-course walls all the way around and across the interior.
