The Prius Plug-in Hybrid demonstrator was a pre-production test cars are based on a third generation Toyota Prius (model ZVW30) built by Toyota as part of a global demonstration program run between 2009 and 2011 in several countries. These demonstrators were leased to fleet and government customers. A main difference between the demonstrator and the production model is that the former had the charging port located in the left-front side near the driver's seat while the port in the production version is located on the right-rear fender.
