English: Thomas Wright (active 1766-1798), British publisher/printer and book dealer. Apprentice and then assistant to Archibald Hamilton; set up his own print shop at Chancery Lane in 1766, was listed at Essex Court, Strand (1775-1780) Peterborough Court, and Fleet Street (1781-1796); declared bankruptcy in 1777. Printed Whitehall Evening Post in 1771-85; published Westminster Magazine in 1775; collected materials for Essays and criticisms of Dr. Goldsmith.
