Sefer Muratowicz had brought a lot of Persian carpets for King Sigismund III, which became the model for the home workshops. Władysław IV acquired tapestries in Antwerp and in Constantinople. The French diplomat admiring the royal collection wrote, that the royal tapestries are the most beautiful not only in Europe but also in Asia. John Casimir had 17 Persian carpets, 29 Turkish and 3 of Rhodes.
