In the centre of the town of Ürgüp a big hill provides views of the town. Its name seems to be Temenni Tepesi, "Hope Hill". One ascends from the square holding the Ürgüp Merkez Karamanoglu C. Kebir I. Bey Camii, to its north. On its top stands a mausoleum. It is a popular spot for tourists, with facilities to match. From its one looks down to the south/southeast upon such things as the central square, the bus station, a market area and much more, but depending on where on goes one can see much more to several sides. To the north of the Ürgüp Merkez Karamanoglu C. Kebir I. Bey Camii the rock rises again to an even higher height.
