District heating plant. Until 2021, three separate power plant sections have been built on the site of the Tatabánya Heating Plant. First unit built in 1897 and 1898 with 3x240 kW steam engines and 8 boilers, ordered by Hungarian General Coal Mine Co. Operated till 1940. Next to its built a two 1,8 MW turbines built in 1908. Between 1938 and 1980 built the 3rd unit, extended multiple and its capacity was 66,5 MW in 1952. The power plant supplied electricity. In 1967 started the heat supply. The heat output capacity of the hot water system reached 220 MW around 1990, has now been reduced and stabilised at around 145 MW. The current owner Tatabánya Erőmű Kft. Co. (Est. 1998) In 2021 51 percent owned by City Government - Tatai Street off, Tatabánya-Óváros neighborhood, Tatabánya, Komárom-Esztergom County, Hungary.
