English: The flower heads of Taraxacum species mature into a spherical shape nicknamed a "clock", "blow ball", "puff ball" or "parachute ball"; it containing many single-seeded fruits (achenes). Each achene is attached to a pappus of fine hairs, which enable wind-aided dispersal over long distances. Similar seedheads are produced by several other related genera.
