Milepost 159.60 - Sutherland Rest Area Eastbound
Located 2 miles east of Sutherland. Contains 16.2 acres with parking for 7 trucks and 25 cars. The area has 10 picnic tables, children’s play area, and a summer tourist information station. This is the historical site of the original Oregon Trail. The trail is still visible and preserved at this site. (Part of O’Fallons Bluff. Listed in National Register of Historic Places.)
