English: A steel mill is a part of the modern steel industry : it produces steel semi-finished casting products. There are two types of steel mills : integrated steel mills which convert liquid pig iron into liquid steel with a converter, and cast this steel with a continuous casting machine or in ingots molds. The other type of steel mills melt scraps with an electric arc furnace, and cast the steel.

Français : Une aciérie est une usine faisant partie de la sidérurgie moderne : elle produit des produits semi-finis en acier. Il existe deux types d'aciérie : les aciéries intégrées qui transforment la fonte brute en fusion en acier liquide à l'aide d'un convertisseur, et qui coulent cet acier dans des coulées continues ou des lingotières. L'autre type d'aciérie fond des ferrailles avec un four à arc électrique, et coulent l'acier obtenu.
