The Sony Centre for the Performing Arts, a Toronto venue on Front Street between Yonge and Scott streets, has had several name changes. Originally opened as The O'Keefe Centre in 1960, named after O'Keefe Brewing Company and in 1996 was renamed for the Canadian software company, Hummingbird Communications Ltd, and more recently In 2007, the Japanese electronics giant Sony bought 10-year naming rights to the Sony Centre.
