Soliders of Sacrifice is a statue by Alfie Bradley commemorating the D Day landings of 6th June 1944. It represents the first soldier believed to have to die in the attack, Lt Denham Brotheridge. Instead of hurling a grenade, however, he is launching a dove of peace. The statue is part casting and part welding, and includes over 4000 replica bullets mounted in resin.
