English: Silver joss paper is used to worship ancestors and ghosts, so it often seen on graves and in homes, but sometimes also in Yin-temples (or called Yinmiao). The way to tell whether it is silver paper is to see if there is a piece of silver paper sticked on the yellow joss paper. When you worship gods and goddesses, you should use golden joss paper to worship them. If you use silver joss paper, it's a serious offense to people in the Chinese culture, because it is their taboo and they think that you blaspheming their gods/goddesses.
