English: Turku herring market, arranged early in October. In addition to pickled herring many other products from the archipelago (and to some degree the coast and inland countryside), such as other fish, bread, berries and handicraft, and some general market fare, is sold. Also the Estonian Aiboland has had a stand on the market in later years (and probably participated regularly in old times). Many of the same producers participate in the Herring fair in Helsinki, and in old times in the one in Stockholm.
