English: Sharon Ewing began her parks career as a VSP seasonal volunteer interpreter at Nature Tunnel State Park in the late 1980s. She joined the VSP staff in 1999 at the Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park, where she became park manager (2005) and director. In 2015, Sharon Ewing has been promoted to manager of Virginia State Parks District 6 covering Southwest Virginia parks including New River Trail, Hungry Mother, Grayson Highlands, Natural Tunnel, Wilderness Road and the Southwest Virginia Museum.[1]
